Mora Knife #1 ClassicThere is likely no better knife for $13.50 than the Mora #1 Classic, made in Sweden. The blade is 4 inches with a straight, slightly clipped design made of carbon steel. The handle is red birch and also 4 inches for a total length just under 8 inches. The knife ships with a decent black plastic sheath that is totally serviceable. This is the same knife carried by Cody Lundin on Duel Survival.
We are sci-fi fans and iO9 is a daily read, so we were enthused to find this excellent introduction to the history of ancient sword making. While not able to make a sword, we are proud to have decent blacksmithing skills which certainly may come in handy (again) someday soon.
The sword is the perennial symbol of empires, knighthood, chivalry and fantasy.
